Does your rotate picture button work? Mine doesn't.

My rotate button on the drawing toolbar is actually a "Send to front" button.
The rotate button is grayed out, and I can't add it to the toolbar. Can you
rotate graphics from the keyboard?

Most images cannot be rotated in Word. The Rotate Tools is primarily used
for rotating objects created using the Drawing Tools, AutoShapes & WordArt.

Any images you intend to insert into a word processing program should be
"print-ready" *before* dumping them in. That includes orientation, print
dimensions, color adjustment & resolution.

I had no idea. Thanks so much -- I was trying to do notebook spines, so now
I know to rotate first. Thanks for taking the time.

I thought it would be an interesting exercise so I created a worksheet this
morning on how to draw a notebook spiral in WORD (that you can resize and
rotate). I will eventuallly add it to the "Let's draw" examples in
www.drawingwithword.com but in the mean time if you are interested, email me
(see the web site) and I willl send you the original Word document
