doing a search

how do i search my database for an entry that put in
myself. Eg, click a search button, enter a surname, then
have access search for and display that record?

Open the table or form of the database which holds the
information you are interested in. Right click on the the
field you are interested in searching. Select Filter for,
and type in what you are searching for in that field, and
enter or OK.
