Hello:
I need to make a silent local install of Visio 2002 and push it out through
SMS
I've read several posts, and some people recommend doing setup.exe /a , then
using the office xp custom installation wizard.
If I use setup.exe /a, will the install be totally local, or will users be
going to the distribution point the installed it from to access the files?
My testing showed it was all local, since I could launch the program without
the network cable in.
If this is the case, why do I need to use the custom installation wizard if
I accepted all the defaults in the CIW?
When I used the Office 97 Network Installation Wizard, it always asked me if
I wanted users to install the files local or on the network, but the CIW
doesn't give me that option.
Thanks
