I'm not sure if I can bring this up and if its too OT then just delete - but
need some info here - all my domains (about 15 of them) are registered with
aitdomains.com - I have been really happy with them over the last 2 years -
however, this last 2 months has been a nightmare. I have all my domains set
to automatically renew - easy - ok, but then one of my domains didn't get
renewed. After I find out about it - it is in what they call redemption
period - to make a long story short - after hours and hours of bck and forth
arguing - they come to the point that they say it is NOT their fault that it
didn't automatically renew -that it was the fault of their cc company
(apparently it happend to more than just me). So because it wasn't really
THEIR fault and not my fault, they would reduce the redemption fee from $150
to $50 ... well, since it does belong to a client of mine - I really had to
choice but to pay the fee.
What I'm wondering is....has this ever happened to anyone else, does their
story sound legit and how do I make sure in the future that my automatic
renewals...get renewed??? If there is no guarantee with any of the
registars that your 'autorenew' will automatically renew, how do you
safeguard this?
thanks for any help/info
