Brett,
Suzanne Barnhill posted the following information a while
back. This may answer your question:
In Word 2002, there is a check box in the Format Paragraph
dialog for "Don't
add space between paragraphs of the same style." This is
available only if
you have *not* checked the "Don't use HTML paragraph auto
spacing" option in
Tools | Options | Compatibility. In previous versions,
however, you'll need
two separate styles, as Terry has said, *unless* your
second and subsequent
lines are actually part of the same paragraph, in which
case you can use a
line break instead of a paragraph break at the end of a
line. If what you've
got is a bulleted or numbered list, however, that won't
work. You can add
space after Previous Style instead of before New Style,
but then you'll have
to deal with the problem at the end of the New Style
paragraphs, so you're
still stuck with probably needing two New Styles.
