Don't charge me for assistance... no one else does that!

E

EmilyAnn

I think I am finally at the end of my rope with you guys... I needed help...
I seriously needed help with Outlook to get something to work. I couldn't
find it on your site... actually your site didn't help me in the LEAST bit.
If I could... I would ask for a REFUND of my money.. plus a refund for ALL
THE TIME that I spent trying to get your products to function.

I am very familiar with computers, and the ins and outs of many programs,
yet I have never come accross a website, so dull in description, with such
little help to me. And I have NEVER seen assistance and support so expensive!
Actually, I hardly have a program on my computer that if I sent the company
an email, I would be charged $35. What is up with that? Why do you charge me
for comming to you for assistance on a product that I PAID FOR???

It makes no sense. So, if you don't mind, I would like a full refund + some
cash for how long I have had to struggle using your product + I would like
you to burn in h.e.l.l. Got all that? Oh wait! Of course you don't, you're
Microsoft and Microsoft can't do s.h.i.t.

We aren't the guys you are talking about. We don't charge money. This is
not Microsoft support.

This is a peer-to-peer newsgroup of volunteers.

Hmm - you ever tried Symantec? They charge just to pick up the phone. Oh,
and as a computer technician myself, I would not even show up at your house
for less than $100 per hour.

" I am very familiar with computers, and the ins and outs of many programs,
" but you don't know enough about them to fix your problem or realize that
this is not Microsoft's support site, only a peer to peer help group.

And believe me, if I am asked to help with computer problems outside of here
and for friends, I charge big bucks too.

You apparently found the "free" help site for MS with no problem or paid
assistance...
There are many, many here who volunteer their time out of their work day to
"assist" for no charge.
Shame that you didn't ask a question so that someone somewhere could assist
at no charge to you...

Too bad you don't mention what your problem is, except to complain you have
a problem, help here is free...and so is help on the other zillion MS
newsgroups.

A few years ago I paid for a toilet, it stopped working last week (one of
the few things I will not repair myself is plumbing) the plumber charged me
75 bucks to show up, a 5 buck fuel surcharge...and another 65 per hour to
fix the problem. The price of doing "business". BTW...the free plumber never
showed up...duh.

Other than the horrendous cost for help, what is your impression on
other elements of the software's functionality?
