Don't give anyone on this board your real email address

Someone offered to help me with a Microsoft Project file.
So far today I've gotten 18 virus laden emails to the
address I gave out.

So much for help here. First MS s*rews me, then someone
on the message board at MS.

Yep. Welcome to the 21st century.

However, dare I say, this has nothing to with the quality of "help" here
on this forum which I think you will find world-class and not surpassed.

It's just unfortunate that you need to know on Usenet Newsgroups that
you must obscure your email address as best as possible. see
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/default.aspx

I AM NOT AMUSED.

First, Chuck should know that MVPs are not Microsoft people but volunteers
Why the **** would we pass out adresses to spammers (which I personalmly
regard as criminal organisations, and in Europe they will soon be formally
such!)

I personally am at 30+ spam mails per day - I shall soon change my address!

DO NOT PUBLISH AN e-mail ADDRESS ON A PUBLIC PLACE LIKE THIS.

In support of Jan's reply, I feel the need need to supplement my earlier
reply to ensure that you understand that the spammers "harvest" email
addresses from newgroups. Please don't for a minute think that the
people actively involved in this forum, nor any reputable company
including Microsoft, do this.

I didn't mean to imply that MS was responsible, only that
I had to learn the hard way about email address exposure
again.
