don't open another message if you delete an open message

When in Outlook and I have an open message when I delete it while it is open,
it opens up the next message. I want it to go back to my inbox rather than
opening the next message

Check the setting of the "When moving or deleting an open item" dropdown
here: Tools menu > Options > Email options
