DON'T REQUIRE THE CDs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To get the CDs I would have to put in a request to Network Services and wait
for a week or two. Update. Send them back. Repeat every time there is an
update. I'd rather go back to 2000. Or 98. Or...

I know you have the talent to make it so that we don't really have to do it
this way.

On a less frustrated level, I worry about the users who will never go thru
the hassle of finding/sending for the disks and will never update the
security of their software because of that. For a large percent of the
users, if it is not easy or effortless, it will not get done.

Hi, djb,

This issue has been mitigated in Office 2003 with the introduction of the
Local Installation Source. Microsoft seems to have heard this complaint.

Additionally, your network services group has some other deployment options
that wouldn't require you to gain access to CDs. They should review the
Office Resource Kit online to find out how to deploy the software in a way
that is easier for end uers.
