dos command / e-mail notification --> through Access

How can I execute a dos command (net send ...) or send e-mail notification
through VBA, once a task in ACCESS is complete. Can someone provide the
command or direct me to appropriate site for code/example. Thanks.

Hi Vijay,

You can use
DoCmd.SendObject acSendNoObject ...
to send a simple email notification.

Otherwise, there's the Shell() command, e.g.

lngRetVal = Shell("NET SEND ...")
