.dot Errors

I have a user that when he starts his pc up in the
morning he gets an error about Word is trying to open
templates that it can't find. Once you click ok another
pops up that says what the .dot file that is missing,
then he hits ok again and it says another file. Here is
one of the errors.

"The add-in template is not valid.
(c:\program files\...\~$ALMAPP.dot)"

I checked and all the updates are applied. I also
uninstalled and reinstalled the whole Office Suite and
still the problem happens. I have ran Adaware and Spy
Sweeper and it cleans, but still happens. Also went into
MSconfig and deleted apps that i know he didnt need or i
didnt recognize. But the problems continued.

This is an XP box. Any ideas would be helpful...

The user needs to clear unneeded add-ins from the Startup folders of Word
and Office. PALMAPP.DOT is an add-in added by Palm Pilot. Chances are good
it won't work with the current version of Word, anyway. The file
specifically referred to in the error message is the "owner" file created
when PALMAPP.DOT is opened. If PALMAPP.DOT was deleted but not the owner
file, Word will still try to load it because of the .DOT extension.
