Dot Mac and Attachments

One of my clients is having difficulty opening attachments in Entourage 2004
that have been sent to her Dot Mac account. Typically, those attachments are
other Word/Excel/PowerPoint files, but other files are also a problem, such
as PDFs.

The problem appears to occur only with her Dot Mac account. Her POP email
accounts within Entourage perform as expected on this issue. Interestingly,
she can log into her Dot Mac through Safari and open attachments without
problem.

She's using a MacBook Pro running 10.4.8 with the latest patch (11.3.3) to
the 2004 Office suite.

If you have the Dot Mac IMAP account set up so that it doesn't always
receive complete messages, the problem might be as simple as clicking the
"Get Entire Message" link at the top of the message. It's easy to miss, and
naturally the attachments won't open correctly if the entire message hasn't
been downloaded.

Thanks, Jeff. I had my client go into the account and uncheck the option to
partially receive messages and the problem went away.
