Dot Points cause Word to crash

With Word XP, when I try to use dot points (either in a document or using the
Format menu) Word crashes with the message "Microsoft Word has encountered a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Reloading
Office XP didn't remove the problem. How do I fix it?

I'm not sure what is crashing for you, but if you set up bullets as shown in
this article, it will not cause crashing.
