I am using Word 2013
I want to create a new template (.dotm) from an established template (also .dotm). The established template includes macros.
Can anyone shed some light on this - please.
I want to create a new template (.dotm) from an established template (also .dotm). The established template includes macros.
- I open a new version of the established template - it is called Document 1 by default and includes the macros from the template.
- I save this Document 1 as "Report Template.dotm in the same folder as the established template. (As a matter of interest, this is the default Current Office Templates folder.)
- I then open a new document (FILE|NEW) based on the new template. The macros are missing.
- If I then open the actual template (Report Template.dotm) I find that the macros are missing from there as well. The macros are not being copied to the new template when I save it.
Can anyone shed some light on this - please.
