dotted line

how do you get rid of a dotted line? It looks like a page break but I cannot
delte it. tks.

If it's what I think it is, it's a horizontal table cell border. Word puts
these in for some reason if you put a dotted line across a page and hit
Enter. When it does it to me, I hit Undo before I do anything else and it
goes back to the dotted line, not the cell border, and all is then OK.

To get rid of it you'll have to go to select it, go to Format/Borders and
Shading/None.

I've had the same problem until I stumbled on a way around it. After you type
the dotted line, hit the Enter key and the Shift key at the same time. The
dotted line will remain.
