Double caps won't auto correct...

Hi Folks,
I know that this is nitpicky, but I cannot get the auto-correct t
work on double caps at the beginning of a word. I've gone to th
auto-correct options, and the box is checked, but it will not make th
correction. I've tried to uncheck, re-check, re-start, etc. with n
luck. Any suggestions

In Word 2002 and above (possibly Word 2000 and above), this correction is
not made if the word is marked as misspelled. The spelling error trumps the
AutoCorrect feature. Presumably the assumption was made that if the word is
not in Word's dictionary, the double capitalization may be intentional.

Hi again. I appreciate the response, but this peculiarity is happenin
with -correctly- spelled words. I happen to be using Word 2003.
tried to log on to the Microsoft forum site to find an answer, but
couldn't figure it out

Is this happening with specific words? Make sure they haven't been added to
your Exceptions list (and you may want to clear the check box for
"Automatically add words to list," which can cause a lot of trouble).

Anyone else? Is there another thread that I should be on to find th
solution to this

Since you have not answered the questions Beth and I asked, it is unlikely
that anyone else will be willing to try to help you.

Suzanne, in re-reading your post, I noticed what you said about the
"Automatically add..." I go ahead and unchech there, and see if that
helps. Thanks.

Preview is my friend. Preview is my friend. Preview is my friend.

p.s. I can't seem to find the box which indicates "automatically ad
words etc." that you suggest. It doesn't seem to be in Tools>Options
