Double click doesn't work

After updating to B2TR, when I double-click an office document the
program loads but the file doesn't. There's no error message
displayed. I have to open the files from within the program. I have
unchecked the Norton AntiVirus plug-in.

pdf's and other files work as normal.

Hi Peter,

If you use Alt+T+O and run the Diagnostics from the Word Option 'Resources' section then close Word can you open the files from
Windows Explorer?

Are the documents showing a Word document icon in Windows Explorer?

What version of Windows are you using?

Thanks. That worked for Word but I have done what you suggested with
Excel but I still can't open Excel by double-clicking on an Excel
file.
