I'm using Windows XP Pro and Office 2003. I installed IntelliPoint and have
configured the wheel button on my mouse as a double-click. This works fine
in most applications such as Explorer, and worked fine in an older version of
Office (Office 98). However, after upgrading to Office 2003, I noticed that
the wheel button does not work initially when trying to browse through
folders in Office dialog boxes as it used to. When I do an Open, Save, or
any dialog that accesses files in any Office app, the first time I
double-click a folder, it simply selects the folder - it does not change to
that folder as it did in the previous version, and as it still does in other
apps such as Notepad. In Office 2003, I have to first click a folder in
these dialog boxes, then press the wheel button for the double-click to
actually change to that folder, meaning two clicks are required to change to
a folder. If I simply double-click the right button, it changes to that
folder as expected, but the "double-click" through the wheel button behaves
differently.
Any thoughts on how to get this working as it used to?
