double contacts

Does anybody else experience in outlook 2003 duplicate contacts coming
thru when they log onto the mail server.

I have users with double or triple the same contacts (no they did not
add them all in).

Some of the extra contacts have details in them, and some have no email
address what so ever...


any hints??
