Double download of attachments in Outlook

Greetings All,

I have conducted traces of Outlook/Exchange sessions when opening messages
with attachments and found that the attachment is downloaded when the message
is opened. This is expected as the attachment is part of the message. But
when the attachment is opened from within the message window, it downloads
again. This sounds like unnecessary duplication and was wondering if there is
an option/registry entry on the client or server to stop this from occuring.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I thought that was just for web content. Will it stop auto download of
attachments like Word docs and Excel spreadsheets etc?
