Double Saving Problems

I've been updating my webpage and when I add a new page and save it to my
folder it saves the page but also saves a folder with the page title also.
When I try to delete the folder it says I cannot because it is linked to the
folder. When I delete the page the folder is deleted. I've never had this
problem before...did I change some settings and not realize it....? Help!
