double spacing in emal message.

I've formated my emails to contain an email signature, ex. Mary Smith, Adm
Asst.
When I open & create a new email message, the signature/title is double
spaced. When someone responds to the message, their response/title is also
double spaced. How do I get the text in single space?

Probably because you are using Word as your e-mail editor instead of
Outlook (although you don't get a choice in OL2007 but you never
mentioned WHICH version of Outlook that you use) and/or because you are
sending an HTML-formatted e-mail instead of using plain text mode.

Instead of hitting the Enter key for a linebreak, hit Shift+Enter.
Enter inserts a paragraph tag in HTML-formatted e-mails and paragraphs
have more space between them. Shift+Enter inserts a linebreak tag so
the next line appears without the paragraph spacing.
