"double view" of same pst file - OL 2003

Hello

I just installed Outlook 2003 and copied in the
outlook.pst file from a previous version. Admittedly I was
playing around with the settings and have now ended up
with the "personal folders" view twice i.e. the view of
the outlook.pst file. I think the cause was a deactivation
then activation of the "automatically generate Exchange
Views" option.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the second view? It does no
harm but may confuse the person for whom I did the
installation. THANK YOU!!!

remove the pst file you copied into there and then import
the file.

NEVER import a PST into Outlook if you can avoid it.

No, it's because you copied outlook.pst over the top of an outlook.pst
already being used by Outlook and corrupted your mail profile. Create a new
mail profile.

How does one create a new mail profile ... yes, I'm sorry, but I had to
ask, since I simply can't figure it out.
SORRY!

Tia!

(first : i have the exact same problem, thats why im inteferring in this
thread :D).

I removed the original/default pst-files, created an email-account, and
the n copied back my pst-files from the previous version of outlook, and
now instead of two similar "personal folders" i have three of the exact
same...

This is really giving me a headache :)
