Doubleclick group and open into another Window.

I used Visio Professional and was able to double click a group and it
would open automatically into another window. I see that for Visio
2003, I don't seem to have this as default for each group. The only way
I have found that I can do this is to select a grouping, right click,
then select Format/Behavior Doubleclick tab and set Open Group in New
Window. Is there a way to set this globally instead of having to set
for each group?

Well, there's a hack that you could use, but it would be global only to your
document.

- Show the Document Explorer window, under the View menu.
- Find the Style "Normal"
- Right-click the style and pick Show ShapeSheet
- In the Events section, set EventDblClick = OPENGROUPWIN()

Now, any shapes you draw in the document that have the style normal, or a
style based on normal will inherit this behavior.

With code, you go one step deeper and edit the style "No Style"
programmatically. All styles are based off of this. The code looks like
this:

thisdocument.Styles("No Style").Cells("EventDblClick").Formula =
"OPENGROUPWIN()"

Hope this helps,
