Dowloading template in word 97-2003, opens in 2007

I am trying to download Word Templates version 97-2003, yet everytime I do
it opens in 2007. I don't have 2007. It won't allow me to save. And when I
do a search for Word 2007, I'm not finding an exe file to delete.

Hi RVE,

If you don't have Word 2007, how do you suppose the document is opening up in that application? Also, deleting exe files is the
ultimate bad way to delete most programs. Unless they don't require an installer, all programs should be deleted via the Windows
Control Panel ('Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and features').
