Down loading web site

I use Publisher 2007 and there is a setting that stops me from down
loading the site to my laptop. I know it is a simple setting because I
had to change it on my old laptop. Trouble is? iT is so simple I can
figure it out now.

I am not sure what you are asking, but Publisher is not a code editor and
though you can import web files in some cases, it is not a recommended way
of editing or managing a web site. With Publisher you are supposed to make
any changes in your original .pub file on your local drive, save the
changes, and then produce new .htm files and upload those...not download and
edit the old .htm files.
