Downgrading from 2003 to XP

I need to downgrade my office back to XP from 2003.
I uninstalled 2003, and installed XP.

Office does not work properly: when trying to print or
approve an appointment, I get a message saying "messaging
interface returned an unknown error...".

I also cannot access the exchange server settings (user
name is blank, and I can't change anything).

Any suggestions?
