download issues

I downloaded the update for Office and now my computer is
running REALLY slow and I am having a problem with
accessing Outlook and other programs. This did not start
until I did the update.

any suggestions?

Might not make sense, but things improved when I did the following (see
thread in this newsgroup: Caveat: Office 2003 SP 1)

1. Boot to Safe mode.
2. Boot to Normal mode.

Doing this seems to have cleared up some problems, I know not why!
