Is it possible to download public holidays for different countries into my
calender? If so where can I find this information to download?

Outlook already has a feature for Holidays. You can go to
Tools->options->calendar->add holidays, and pick the country that you want to
get the holidays for.

Thanks.

yeah, if you have outlook 2003 or older you need an updated HOL file before
you can add them.

Hi, the add holiday option seemed to work for me, it said they had been
added
but on checking they were not there. I ended up loading a new .hol file -

Funny ... that's what I suggested on 23 December

All the best for a positive, productive 2009

True, but then other people hijacked the thread and didn't read the message
you posted.

I just find it strange that Outlook goes though the motions saying holidays
are being added, why not just show a message saying that holidays are not
available for the current year. The user shouldn't need to know about .hol
files.

Anyway, there are far more serious errors we should be worrying about :-/

That would require programming to calculate the year and compare it to the
holiday list - and could introduce bugs.
