download resuming from session timeouts

I use dial-up ISP. I'm having issues with "session timout" because of the
size of updates. If I'm not right at my desktop when the session expires to
prevent it from disconecting I must start over and hope I catch it next time.
Is there a feature of download resuming for microsoft updates that I can
apply? I sure hope so!
