download sp3 with no CD

I'm trying to run office update for one of our company's computers. When I
proceed through the web screens it tells me I need to install SP3 and there
is a message right below it saying "already downloaded". There is also a CD
icon indicating it needs to prompt me for the office CD. Everytime I run it,
it prompts me for the CD.

Our users claim they are having trouble locating the CD. How can I force it
to re-download SP3 with the larger files that do not require me to insert a
CD?

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828450 "Why service packs,
updates, and security patches may require the Office 2000 CD-ROM".

Even if you use the full-file version of a service pack for
Office 2000, you may still be prompted to insert the Office 2000
CD. If you cannot provide the CD when prompted, then the service
pack installation will fail, and some of your Office applications
may be left in a non-functional condition.

You should keep your Office CD in a safe place. You will need it
to install updates, or to add or remove features, or to repair or
uninstall or reinstall Office.

am also having problems downloading updates for Office 2000, to the best of
my info, if front page lists download as having been installed it probably
is. try checking install history on your main drive, it may have not been
'run' from there. this has worked for me in past. also try downloading 1 at a
time.
