Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel When I download a document and print it out the links in the document come out with (hyperlink) and then either the e mail address of the person linked to or the web site. How do I get the document to print out as it appears on the screen. This happens in both windows and mac . I tried to create the links and that did not work either. THank you very much.

From your minimal description it sounds like you may have display of field
codes toggled on in your document. Press Option+F9 to toggle the display of
the codes off. If the keystroke doesn't work try Control+F9 (OS X swipes
some of the F9 variants), or go to Word> Preferences> View & clear the
checkbox pertaining to Field Codes.

Got it. It wasn't the fix you suggested but in the print box in the preferences I turned the field codes off and presto. Now one more question if answerable. I have a document saved that lists date & time. Is there anyway to shut that off or is that part of a read only document. Thank you for your help.

Can you please elaborate? What does "lists date & time"? What does
"list" mean? And exactly where do you see the date and time that you
want to "shut off"? And what do you mean "shut off"? How do you shut
off time? Do you mean you want it hidden?

Glad to have at least pointed you in the right direction :)

If the document is Read Only there is nothing you can change about it if you
don't have the password to open it for editing.

Beyond that there isn't much I can suggest without a more explicit
description of how & where this date & time is being 'listed'. If you take a
few seconds to fully describe the situation completely there's probably a
fairly simple solution. Word documents do not 'magically' display the date &
time - that information has to be inserted manually or included as a part of
the design of the template on which the document is based when created.

On that basis alone it's impossible to tell you where to make the change
because we don't know what the source is. And in order to suggest what
change to make & how to do so is determined by where the date & time info is
appearing. It would also help if you'd explain what you mean by "shut that
off"... Remove it from an existing document? Prevent it from occurring in
new ones? Keep it from changing once it's inserted?
