downloaded forms from the internet are not correct

Pat

When I download a form from the internet in "Ancestry.com" in Microsoft Word,
it comes up with a box that says "File Conversion - anchart"
Text Encoding
Windows Default
MS-DOS
Other encoding
then the body when the form is supposed to be has numbers, letters and
symbols all jumbled together. How do I fix Word so I can get the correct
download?

Can you give us a URL? Perhaps it's not your computer but their form.

The download form button takes you to:
http://c.ancestry.com/pdf/trees/charts/anchart.pdf

This isn't a Word document and I'm surprised that Word even tried. You need
Adobe Acrobat Reader which you can download for free. There is a link for
that on the page as well.

Thank you. I finally saw where I needed Adobe Acrobat Reader and have
downloaded it and can pull up the form. Somehow it had gotten deleted from
my computer. Thanks Again Pat
