Downloading Clipart - Permissions Issue?

I have been searching this topic because I have been seeing the same
thing for my 9-year-old son, as he tries to create reports in
PowerPoint or Word. When I download clips from my account (regardless
of wmf, png, etc.) they seem to load fine. However, there is a
difference between our accounts as I have admin rights and he has a
managed account with limited access to applications (but not Simple
Finder). I double-checked today and enabled his access to all apps in
the MS Office 2008 application folder. I still get the errors or
crashes as reported here previously. But, I'm still wondering could
this be a permissions issue? Of those seeing this problem, are you
working with managed, standard, or admin accounts?

Sorry: Because you changed the headline, I am not sure what you are
referring to. Most of the people offering help in here are viewing the
forum in NNTP an associating the threads by the wording of the subject line.

Because you did not state your software and OS versions, we really have no
idea what to suggest.

What error is your son experiencing?

Did you install Office from your account or the Admin account? For multi
users, it will work better if you install from the Admin account and repair
permissions afterwards.

You may need to:

1) Run the Remove Office tool from the Administrator account

2) Make your son an Administrator

3) Re-install Office from the Admin account

4) Login as your son and run each application.

5) Repair permissions.

6) Then login as Administrator and downgrade your son's account.

Don't attempt to use Fast User Switching while doing this: if you leave a
user logged in, their preferences are locked.

Hope this helps
