Downloading email.. .msg files dont work ?

When I open an email that has an attachement
and click on the disk icon, it saves a .msg file
to computer. When I try and open it (on any
computer), I get : "Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Can't open file:
D:\filename.msg. The file
may not exist, you may not have permission to open it, or it may be open in
another program." ....

Anyone know how to fix this?
i am currently using microsoft outlook 2002 with service pack 3.

Try opening your e-mail then File > Save attachments > save to your hard drive
