downloading FrontPage installer

I had to replace my hard drive and cannot find the FrontPage installer disk.
Where do I go to find the FrontPage installer download?

If you registered your copy of FrontPage, you might be able to get a
replacement CD: How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service
packs and product upgrades, and replace product manuals

Unfortunately, nobody registered it, so I have to pay $29 or whatever. Can
you give me a link for that?

Call the 800 number in the link Kathleen provided

They are telling me I have to pay $299 to buy Expression Web. Why can't I
just re-install FrontPage? This is a huge price hike for me.

T

Tom [Pepper] Willett

FrontPage has been discontinued, so they most likely don't have copies
anymore.

Shouldn't have lost your original disk ;-)

Go to the MS site and look for Sharepoint Designer 7, it's a hybrid of FP
2003 and is now free.

If you have FrontPage or Office (any version) you are eligible for the
upgrade price for Expression Web - around $99 or less at Amazon.com

FrontPage mainstream support ended on 14 April 2009 - this possibly includes
replacement media.
This note on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 may apply:
" If a product is no longer under warranty, the replacement item may no
longer be available. "

You will not need the previous version of FP to install the Expression
upgrade. It's a "marketing" term for the most part.

I installed the free trial, opened my site, but cannot open any pages as I
could with FrontPage (by double-clicking them). I simply do not have time to
learn an entirely new software. Will Sharepoint Designer (free) be closer to
FrontPage?

I got a page opened in EW2 and there is scrambled text on most pages, so I
will try SPD.

I have another site in Dreamweaver. Will it open in EW2 or SPD, or
incompatible?

I just began working with SharePoint Designer. Every time I start up my PC,
however, I get an annoying "Installing SharePoint configuration" error
message. Whether I let it complete whatever it is trying to do, or cancel it
immediately, it keeps coming back. How do I get rid of this annoying error
message for good?

Open SPD, or any of your MS Office Programs of the same version/year, and try running a Help -Detect & Repair
