downloading ics file gives a security warning - Unknown File Type

Jason

Hi,

I have a ASP.Net page that reads meeting details from a database and outputs
an ics file to the user. This has been working great now for the last year. I
am receiving reports that when the link to this page is clicked on in an
Outlook email the receipient is getting a File Download - Security Warning
Dialog instead of the usual open, Save, Cancel Dialog.

The file Name looks like a random name:

name: CAMF4DUZ.
Type: Unknown File TYpe, 942 bytes
from: TMSERVER.xxx.com

I want to say this is a client issue with outlook but need to understand why
and how to fix it?? For most people this downloads and works just fine.. Can
anyone help with this??

Thanks
Jason

Hello Jason,

What is the version of Outlook, 2003 or 2007? Is the link work in IE on the
same computer?

Sincerely,

Luke Zhang
