Downloading news postings

Hi,

I may be being a bit dim but when reading newsgroup postings some posts
aren't available until Entourage connects to my ISP's news server. Is there
any way of simply downloading all current posts (headers *and* content) at
once? At the moment, it seems to do it in batches, so every now & then it
has to connect to the server. (even though I'm on-line all the time?)

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Jason,

I've got a rule set up for this. Under Tools>Rules, News tab, create a new
rule, with the condition "all messages", and the corresponding action
"retrieve messages from server". You could also set up a schedule to receive
all the news messages at a specified time interval. Give these options a try
and see what works best for you. Under normal circumstances, as far as I
know, Entourage will only download a post's content when you try to view it,
either in a separate window or the preview pane.
