downloading office letterhead to word template

Is it possible to download(i.e. scan) an office letterhead to word and use it
to create letters.

There are no stupid questions just stupid people who don't ask.

You *could* create a graphic out of the letterhead part of it from a scan
but I'd suggest recreating it rather than fussing with scans.

I have recreated our letterhead in word as a header, but how can it be
locked to keep it from being altered? Or can it be a template or form that
users can only add after the letterhead section?

You may be able to. I'll be honest with you, I've never done it. Post your
question in a Word-specific newsgroup. There are some really good folks over
there who are absolute whizzes with Word.
