Downloading Powerpoint

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel When I download a powerpoint that another user has emailed me I can only view it as a powerpoint presentation. I cannot edit it in any way. Please help.

That's most likely how the creator intended it -- What is the filename
extension?

Have you tried File> Open from within the program rather than just
double-clicking the file icon?
