downloading scripts

I am having difficulty using scripts that I download.
After I click to download, a window appears asking to either "open" or "save" the script file, defaulting to use the Stuffit Expander program for opening the file.

How should I proceed with downloading?

It appears that if I save the file, it saves as a text file and I can not open with the Script Editor in order to compile before adding to the Script Menu in Entourage.

After any download is unstuffed, it should have a script that you can drag
to either the Script Menu Items folder in the Microsoft User Data folder for
using with Office applications, or to the User's Script folder in your
User's Library folder.

Can you provide the link for a script you are having trouble with so we can
see what's going on?

I had this same issue - I found out that stuffit is no longer included in Os
10.5.... Thus the Mac defaults to textedit to read the files (which is
incorrect)... Download the free stuffit version and unarchive... Then follow
Diane's instructions to install the scripts. :D
