Downloading updates problem

- Just purchased and installed MS Office Standard 03
- Office 00 was installed on my PC, but I do NOT have the CDs
- When attempting to install the needed updates, am directed to insert the
00 CDs
- I can not install the needed updates because I do not have the 00 CDs
- I purchased the 03 product to be legit - now it seems as though I am stuck
- Is there some work around for this?
- What do people do who never had 00 in the first place?

Hi Bama,

Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control
panel to see if there are any 2000 series products
still listed. If your Office 2003 copy did not have
all of the apps that were in Office 2000 then the
Office 2003 install would have left them in place
and you can uninstall those 2000 items separately
if you do not have the CDs.

Please uninstall both Office versions 2000 and 2003 then install Office
2003.
