Downloading woes

I have Access 2002 installed on my computer, and am trying to download the
"Household Inventory" template/sample database. When I try to do so, I get
an error message that says:

Access 2000 was not found
To download and use this template, you need to have Microsoft Office Access
2000 installed on your computer. This program was not found on your computer.

I did download it directly when the above option did not work, but it
doesn't allow me to save any changes to the db then. I've used this db at
work, and it works fine (there I use Access 2000, and the household inventory
was included as a sample db, rather than a template there). Can anyone tell
me what I'm doing wrong, or need to change?

Thanks!

This seems to be a new "innovation" that MS has implemented. I attempted to
download a 2000 db from their site. I have 2003 on my computer and it gave
me the same message. I downloaded it manually too but didn't check to see if
I could save changes. I don't understand the logic behind this. What does
it matter if you even have Access loaded on your computer. If you don't you
can't open the db. If you have a later version than what the db was writen
for you can still open it, converting if needed.
