DPI Settings

Is there a way to set/save the DPI setting for power
point slides to a higher resolution, say 300dpi without
having to change the desktop dpi at the control panel
level, since when I do I am unable to navigate the system
appropriately? I usually create slide and then save it
as Tif file, and the resolution needs to be at 300 dpi.
