drag and drop off

I am using a docment in word 2007. Why can I not highlight text and drag and
drop it to a new location. I have always been able to do this in the past
(not sure if I have in 2007). Is there a place to turn that feature on or
off.

There is in fact an option (Office Button > Word Options) somewhere to
check "Enable Drag and Drop." I can't imagine why it would have gotten
unchecked, though.
