Drag attachments from OneNote to Outlook

Dragging attachments from OneNote to Outlook results in an image file being
attached to Outlook emails, rather than the actual files.

Is there a way simply to drag across attachments to place a copy into emails
? I don't want to use the OneNote email function, as this takes time - it
bundles the whole OneNote page, which is more than I want - plus it puts this
in a new email.

Currently, the lack of this functionality is a real pain. Is there some
plugin, or other funky way that I have somehow missed ?

Thanks

Yes - embedded files. For example, I drag a file from my email to OneNote -
OneNote asks me if I would like to insert the file as an embedded file, I
select yes. But there is no corresponding ability to drag back from OneNote
to Outlook.

I use OneNote as a substitute for Outlook folders - amongst other uses that
I have for Outlook - as it's just a damn sight easier to store / keep useful
bits of info from emails and junk the rest of the stuff that surrounds good
attachments in emails at work.

Have I explained it enough ? Sorry - don't know if I have the jargon quite
correct. This lack of functionality is a big pain - I know there are
workarounds, but each is a few steps too many considering that I like to do
this dragging many times a day.

Thanks
