Drag / Drop to File System Shortcut

K

Kim Bracknell

Hi there,
I have just upgraded from Outlook 2002 to 2003. In the 2002 version, I had
Outlook Bar folders set up with shortcuts to file system folders. If I
wanted to store an email in one of these file system folders I simply did a
drag/drop to the folder's icon. Now, Outlook 2003 automatically created a
Shortcuts folder in whick I can find those folders I had created links to in
Outlook 2002. However, I cannot drag an email from the Inbox to any of those
file system folders. Any one know why?
TIA,
Kim.

Directory browsing within Outlook 2003 has been removed and this includes
the drag & drop to a system folder shortcut. You can still however drag &
drop a message out of Outlook into an Explorer window.
