Drag en move cells weird behaviour of selected cell

Roger

When I select a cell, I move over it with my cursor till a hand
appears so I can pick up the cell and move it. But when I start the
action by clicking on the cell, the selection moves randomly to
another cell, so after a couple of tries, i'm able to do the action.
I use a Emac. excel works fine on my other computer. What can be the
problem ?

If you double-click the border of the selected cell, the selection "jumps"
up to the cell before the next change (empty or not empty). It's a bit like
the "Control-Arrow" shortcut (in fact it's not exactly the same resultas
"Control-Arrow up" will reach the first different cell, while the
double-cliking of the border takes the selection to the previous cell).

I guess this is what you encounter, and if it is that's not "weird"... it's
a feature ;-) Can you try and leave a bit more time between two mouse clicks
(or change the double-click settings in the "Mouse" PrefPane)? See if this
helps.
