Dragging emails into bcm without autolink

I sometimes write myself, sending links and info from internet. If I want to
put that email into a specific business contacts area, should I avoid
autolink and is there another way to do it. I.E., I'm afraid to use the
autolink, thinking that all future links to myself, from myself will go into
the wrong business contact. I suppose I can cut and paste and put into a
business note linked to the business contact, but I was something easier or
more elegant like dragging it?

I don't Autolink my email to anything / any account, because as you said, it
will automatically associate emails unintentially.

Instead, I just link emails manually that apply to a particular Contact or
Account that didn't get "Autolinked" to one of the recipients/senders for
whatever reason.

Thanks for responding. I'm still confused. There's 'email autolink' on the
tool bar. There's 'manage autolink' in the Business contact menu and there's
'autolink email - inside the opened email' on it's toolbar. Which one are
you talking about when you say that you "link emails manually". Besides
pointing out how to do the 'manual link', you also mean that just that one
time, that specific email will autolink to the bus. contact you specifically
wanted, right?

Sorry for any confusion...

I was referencing the "Link to Record" button - if I have an email that
hasn't already be "Auto-linked" to a contact (like email I send to someone
else that is related to an account or a contact) then I manually use "Link to
Record" button to associate the message.

Does that help? I just was saying that I don't "Auto-Link" my own email
address since I send and receive mail from multiple people, etc.
