Dragging Files from Within Word 2003 with SP 3

It seems that since we installed SP 3, we are no longer able to drag a file
from on location to another from within the Open window of Word when the
files are on the server. The only way to do it is with a cut a paste. Here
is the interesting thing though. If the file is on the local drive, it will
work. If it is on the server, it will not. Does anyone no of some setting
that would effect this?
